April 15 Presented a paper titled "Duration of earthquake ground motion anticipated at sites in New Zealand" at the New Zealand Society for Earthquake Engineering Conference in Auckland, New Zealand.
April 10 Represented the Department of Civil and Natural Resources Engineering at the University of Canterbury Year 12 Discovery Day event, held to show high school students what a day at university could be like. Gave a lecture titled "Warriors of the World: The Gods vs. Heavy Metal" describing Earthquake Engineering and other areas of specialisation within Civil Engineering.
February 14 Served as a member of the organising committee of the 9th International Conference on the Behaviour of Steel Structures in Seismic Areas held in Christchurch, New Zealand.
